That is a very difficult question to answer completely, but basically, it all depends on your needs. Macs are very expensive, while PC's are very cheap, I find them quite easily at garage sales for just a couple of bucks, while Macs are impossible to find at garage sales, at least for me, if you found one, please let me know! If you have money to spend, then I would definitely say buy a Mac, they are very easy to use, and very nice to look at.
